Who is Gudrun Halbinger

I have been living at Mythimna in Lesvos for the past 27 years.

I am a qualified physiotherapist and member of the physiotherapist unions of Greece and of Germany.

I graduated from Freiburg Breisgau university, where I studied physiotherapy. I have worked in state hospitals and in my own therapy center in Germany. Now I practice physiotherapy in Molivos as a fully qualified independent practitioner.

I speak Greek German English and French. I am the mother of three children who studied in Greece and abroad. They are working, now, in Greece and in Europe.

I believe that, we, the people, should constantly be alert, intervene and participate in public affairs. Hence, I was an active member of the “Greens” in Germany since 1979, that is, when the party began to form. In the 1990s and for 8 years I have was publishing the trilingual free press newspaper “Free traveler info” in Molivos.

Currently:

• I am one of the founders, of the “Cinema Group of Molivos” and of the group “First Stop”, which relieves and attends refugees who land in Molivos.

• I contribute to humanitarian organizations in Greece as well as abroad.

• I have been a volunteer blood donor for the past 30 years.

• I work with groups and organizations, which study and protect the environment.

• I participate in every voluntary activity of preservation, like cleaning the sea and the beaches, stop spraying plants and trees with chemicals etc.

For the 2010 municipal elections, I cooperate with the party “ΑΛΛΑΓΗ ΠΟΡΕΙΑΣ” of ΓΙΩΡΓΟΥ ΠΑΛΛΗ (George Pallis). I am asking for your vote in the belief that, meritocracy has been banished, honesty has gone on vacation, sensibility is an absentee, together, has given way to, me myself.
